How is the CSDW and DSIS Related? A
Data Warehouse is a repository
of integrated information, available for queries and analysis.
Data and information are extracted from heterogeneous sources as they
are generated... This makes it much easier and more efficient to run
queries over data that originally came from different sources.
The Client Services Data
Warehouse (CSDW) includes the capability to
query and report on different type of SERVICES performed on a client
via a WEB interface, using the technology as defined
above within a Data Warehouse environment. In this particular
case information made available by the DHHS Mental Health Division's
generating of standard reports within the CSDW (a/k/a MH's Decision
Support Information System). PLEASE
NOTE: This
is "
NOT "
the same as access
to the CDW (Client Data
Warehouse). Although, most of the information available in the
CDW is used to populate the database within the CSDW or MH's Decision
Support Information System. In addition, HIPAA and State regulations
prohibit in some public queries/reports that counts Less than or Equal
to 5 MUST NOT be
shown.
